About long lining: Long lining is a wonderful addition to your horse’s training program as it helps the horse find its balanced posture without the addition of the rider’s weight. It is a kind, clear, and classical training method. Long lining is equally valuable for the rider to watch and understand the struggles of the horse and conceive how horses can improve with repetition and the correct exercises. The horses usually feel GREAT the ride after a long lining session.
About Jennifer Hoffman: Jennifer Hoffman is a professional long liner who learned this art from Richard Malmgren a decade ago. Prior to that, Jenn worked with Jessica Jo Tate, a highly sought-after Grand Prix dressage clinician and world class trainer. Jenn combines these training experiences with a career of working with many types of horses, a degree in Western Equestrian Studies from the University of Findlay, her experience in the role of Assistant Trainer for a Gold Medalist in the WEG reining discipline, and her history of riding multiple Grand Prix dressage horses to guide her as she figures out the puzzle of bringing out the best in each horse she works with.
